Odemwingie pleased to be back

Peter Odemwingie made his first Premier League appearance for Stoke City in over three months on Wednesday and afterwards spoke about how good it was to be back.

The striker came on as a second half substitute for Stoke City in place of Spaniard, Bojan Krkic in the 3-1 win over Norwich City at the Britannia Stadium.

He last played for the Potters in the 2-2 draw with Leicester City on September 19 and promptly voiced his sentiments after he played for the final 34 minutes on the win over the Canaries.

“Thanks guys. (It) Was good to get a run out in the best stadium in the world. Boys said back from Siberia, I said Antarctica,” he tweeted.

Odemwingie has played just three games this seasons for Stoke in the Premier League racking up 54 minutes in the process.

He has scored 34 goals in all competitions for the Potters since joining from Cardiff City in a swap deal that involved Kenwyne Jones on January 27, 2014.
