Another loan deal looms for Onyekuru

Galatasaray are in talks over potentially signing Everton winger Henry Onyekuru on loan for the 2018/19 campaign.

The Turkish side have announced officially that talks are underway between themselves and Everton over a potential switch, but no deal is yet in place.

The Super Eagle signed from KAS Eupen last summer, but immediately loaned out to Anderlecht for the 2017/18 campaign as work permit regulations would stop him playing in the Premier League.

The 21-year-old netted an impressive 10 goals in his first 27 appearances for the club across all competitions before sustaining a serious knee injury which initially threatened to cut his stay in Belgium short.

The Nigerian international returned to Everton for treatment on the injury, and it quickly became clear that he would be able to return to Anderlecht before the end of the campaign.

However, Onyekuru didn't make another appearance for the Belgian side and was subsequently left out of Nigeria's squad for the World Cup in Russia.

That had an effect on the winger's Everton future, with another loan move again needed for him to gain the necessary requirements for a work permit in the UK.
