Watford plan Success loan

Watford's Nigerian striker Isaac Success is closing in on a loan move to Hull City, according to sources on Humberside.

The Nigerian has struggled to break into the Hornets' side since he was signed for a then club record fee last summer and looks set join the recently-relegated Tigers.

Hull boss Leonid Slutsky said a new striker was likely to come in to the club before the weekend and name-checked Success this morning.

"Maybe we will have information today on a striker. We are very close to signing a striker and we do have an agreement with one," Slutsky said.

"It is an important position and when you lose the best striker it is difficult to replace. Success, [Ahmed] Musa and others are good players in our list."

Success came on at half-time in the Carabao Cup defeat to Bristol City on Tuesday night and did show glimpses of his talent, but reports in Nigeria have suggested his weight is a concern to Super Eagles' manager ‎Gernot Rohr.

Success did not see eye-to-eye with Walter Mazzarri last season and the Italian felt he was not professional enough or focused on his football.

It appears he has not impressed Silva either and the move will give the 21-year-old an opportunity to reinvigorate his career at Hull before coming back to Watford and fight for a spot with his contract running for another three years
