Drogba offers encouragement to Lukaku

Chelsea's Romelu Lukaku may have missed the penalty that saw Bayern Munich lift the Super Cup but has been praised for his courage by former Stamford Bridge legend Didier Drogba.

The 20-year-old striker saw his spot-kick saved by Munich keeper Manuel Neuer in Prague which handed the silverware to Munich and was understandably distraught after the miss.

However, former Stamford Bridge legend Drogba, now playing for Turkish giants Galatasaray, offered some words of support for the Belgium international.

The Ivory Coast international posted a photo of him with Lukaku on Instagram with the following message: 'Only those who don't take a penalty never miss and you were strong enough to do it.

'You are learning, the same way I learnt with this red card in the final in Moscow or this semi-final against Barcelona!!!
'Keep on working hard better days are coming for sure. You are Chelsea, you're a blue and blues never give up.'
