City still keen on Zaha

ManchesterCity remain interested in a deal for Crystal Palace star Wilfried Zaha.

The Ivory Coast winger looks set to be a prominent name in this summer’s transfer window following his fine season at Palace.

The 25-year-old netted nine goals and provided seven assists in the top-flight to help the Eagles stay up against the odds.

His performances have attracted plenty of interest with Sky Sports reporting that champions City are keen.

It is said Pep Guardiola has asked to be kept informed of developments if Zaha decides to leave south London this summer.

City have sent their scouts to watch him on several occasions this term and a £50m swoop could be in the offing.

Zaha only signed a new long-term deal at Selhurst Park last summer and insisted he’s not looking to leave the club following their final day win over West Brom yesterday.

He said: "I have no plans on leaving. I'm enjoying my football, you can see how much I'm enjoying it. This is my home and there's no reason for me to leave."

Palace boss Roy Hodgson added: "Wilf knows exactly how we value him as a player and as a person because he's an important figure for us.

"He has a long-term contract and is one of our best-paid players, and the last thing on anyone's mind here is letting him go.

"As far as I'm concerned, until a day comes where an offer is made that the club accepts, that speculation can wash over my head."
