Salah on Madrid radar

Egypt head coach Hector Cuper claims Real Madrid are interested in signing Mohamed Salah.

The Liverpool forward has hit the ground running since his £36.9million move from Roma in the summer, scoring 17 goals and laying on four assists in just 21 appearances in all competitions.

Egypt star Salah agreed a five-year deal on his arrival in June but his form in the Premier League and Serie A will inevitably attract the gaze of Europe’s biggest sides. Cuper revealed that Real Madrid are one of those with an eye on the 25-year-old.

“I’ve received confirmed news revealing Real Madrid’s interest in Salah, but let’s not rush things,” he told ON Sport TV in Egypt.

Chelsea did not give Salah chance to make it, claims Hazard

“To me, he is in an amazing position right now.”

Salah currently leads the Premier League scoring charts with 12 to his name, more than any Liverpool player has scored over the course of a whole season since the departure of Luis Suarez.

His form in the Premier League has constituted something of a rebuke to Chelsea, who beat Liverpool to sign him from Basel in January 2014 only to let him leave for Fiorentina on loan a year later.
