Updated 19/8/18: Africa's coaches list

The arrival of Vincent Mashami in the Rwandan hot seat means there have been five recent appointments to the roster of African national team coaches.

Mashami joins Clarence Seedorf (above) in Cameroon, Javier Aguirre with Egypt, Djamel Belmadi in Algeria and Tunisia's Faouzi Benzarti ahead of the resumption of qualifying for the 2019 African Cup of Nations.

France remain the most represented country with seven coaches , including the much traveled Claude Le Roy with Togo and Morocco's Herve Renard.

There are still 22 African nations handling their own national teams. Somalia and Niger are coached by Africans not native to those countries.

The longest serving competitive coach is Namibia's Ricardo Manetti who has been in post for an incredible four and a half years.
